I'm not going to lie and say making a lifestyle change is easy. My first 90 day challenge was incredibly easy. That first 15lb melted off and I was happy with 22lb over the course of the challenge. The last month was a write off because of my appendectomy. I couldn't exercise like I wanted, but I stuck to my shakes. That's where I got off track. It was easy to want to get outside and exercise in the summer and the more I exercised the more I wanted to exercise. But as easy as it was, it was just as easy to fall back into lazy. So I've been struggling since October to motivate myself to start my second challenge. I still drink the shakes, I am not as religious about it as I was at first, I do one for breakfast and then the rest of my day is so random because of school, kids and the late evening shifts at work. But I started my second challenge... Finally! I'm still working out the kinks but I'm eating healthier again, I've added egg white omelettes back into my (almost daily) menu. I stocked my fridge with lettuce and veggies so I have no excuses now. I ate salads at work last week instead of those evil little 6" pizzas we have on special every Wednesday when I work in the bar. That's a big accomplishment by the way, because if you can say no to those evil little pizzas, you know you've got will power!
Come on last 5 lb. Bring it on!
I am currently working on abs, I am doing some of Jillian Michaels' work outs but trying to focus on abs by adding crunches in daily. However nobody is going to see these abs, if I ever develop any, if I don't get rid of the belly fat that lies over top of them ;)
If anyone has any killer, fail proof ab work outs... let me know!!
And in case anyone is wondering why I'm worrying about 5lb.. check out this nasty little reality
What 5lb of fat looks like compared to 5lb of muscle
Did I mention that since July 2010 I have not been sick!?!? Before the shakes, every time one of my kids came down with a cold, flu or stomach bug, guess who was sick shortly after? You guessed it... ME! Not since July, however! My kids have had cold after cold after cold since around September and I came close to getting 1 of them but Cold Fx took care of that one. I know Visalus has its own version but I was always skeptical of Cold Fx in the first place so that was my first time trying it. I keep meaning to order a bottle of the Vimmunity to keep on hand for next time but honestly the shakes keep me so healthy that I'm not sure I even need it.
If you're ready to take The 90 Day Challenge with me, you can visit my website and get started in about a 3-7 days :D
